The backup file lives where you can see it.

Completed backup files upload to your connected Google Drive. StoreSafe does not keep a separate vendor-hosted backup-file copy after upload. Your Drive access, storage quota, and retention settings apply.

From install to a daily backup in three clear steps.

  1. 1

    Connect Google Drive

Choose the Google account where StoreSafe will upload completed backup files.

  2. 2

    Run the first backup

StoreSafe records completion, then verifies that the Drive file has an ID and a positive size.

That is artifact verification, not a restore test.
  3. 3

    Set daily scheduling

Choose a daily backup time. An active subscription is required to run backups, including after the 14-day trial.

A practical safety net for the store you run every day.

Backups can capture supported catalog, content, customer, order, configuration, theme, and inventory data when the required Shopify scopes are available.

Know the boundary

Normal Shopify order-history access covers the latest 60 days. Older history requires Shopify approval for the relevant scope. Historical transactions cannot be recreated as orders.

SELECTIVE RESTORE

Restore supported items

  • Products and inventory
  • Collections and pages
  • Blog posts and redirects
  • Customers and discounts
  • Metaobjects and themes

Results depend on Shopify permissions, API behavior, current store state, and the data captured in the selected backup.

Workers transiently process Shopify data to create, restore, download, or export backups. Larger jobs may use temporary files that are cleaned up afterward. StoreSafe retains operational metadata, but does not retain a separate vendor-hosted copy of the completed backup file.

Before you connect your store.

Clear answers about ownership, restore limits, and billing.

Where are my backup files stored?

Completed backup files are uploaded to the Google Drive account you connect. StoreSafe does not keep a separate vendor-hosted backup-file copy after upload.

What happens to my files if I cancel?

Existing completed backup files remain in your Google Drive, subject to your Google account access, Drive quota, and retention settings. StoreSafe features require an active subscription.

Can StoreSafe restore everything?

No. Selective restore is available for supported data such as products, customers, collections, pages, blog posts, redirects, discounts, metaobjects, themes, and inventory. Shopify permissions and API behavior apply. Historical transactions cannot be recreated as orders.

What does “artifact verified” mean?

It means StoreSafe confirmed that a completed backup has a Google Drive file ID and a positive file size. It does not mean every dataset or restore path has been tested.

Are exports included?

Yes. All export formats currently available in StoreSafe are included with the subscription, with no extra export fee. Coverage varies by dataset and destination format.

Are there size or item limits?

StoreSafe does not apply a per-item plan cap. Shopify scopes and API windows, supported datasets, transaction limits, and your available Google Drive quota can limit what a backup contains.
