2. How StoreSafe Handles Backup Data

StoreSafe uses your connected Google Drive account for completed backup files:

• Completed Files: Completed backup files are uploaded to your connected Google Drive account.
• Transient Processing: Workers process Shopify data transiently to create, restore, download, or export backups. Larger jobs may use temporary files that are cleaned up afterward.
• No Separate Backup Copy: StoreSafe does not retain a separate vendor-hosted backup-file copy after a completed upload.
• Operational Metadata: We retain service records such as backup status, timing, and configuration information to operate, support, secure, and improve the Service.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account Information

When you install StoreSafe, we collect:

• Your Shopify store name and domain
• Your email address (for account communication)
• Billing information (processed securely by Shopify's billing system)

3.2 Google Drive Authorization

To enable backups to your Google Drive, we request limited OAuth scopes:

• drive.file: Permission to create and manage files that StoreSafe creates, including backup files
• The requested Drive scope is limited to files created by StoreSafe
• The requested scopes do not include Gmail, Calendar, or other Google services

3.3 Usage Data

We retain operational metadata to operate and improve the Service:

• Backup frequency and success rates
• Feature usage patterns
• Service and error logs, handled according to this Policy

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Process your subscription and billing
